Blankets of Peace

Blankets of Peace

April 17 | 9:00 AM

If you can tie a knot you can make a peace blanket!

Ukraine in Numbers as of 3/24/22:

  1. One month.

  2. At least 20K deaths.

  3. Approximately 10 million displaced persons and $119 Billion in property damage.

A savage, unthinkable war in our modern times in Europe. Once again the Jews in Ukraine are fleeting the country with basically just the clothes on their back. Our Ukrainian brothers and sisters need us. And, If Jews know how to do something well, it's to come together in times of trouble.

Join us April 17th to hand knit "Blankets of Peace" to raise funds for the Ukraine Emergency Relief Fund, a Jewish Federation fund in support of the much needed humanitarian and resettlement efforts. Your donation will go to Federation's Ukraine Emergency Relief Fund to support partners on the ground providing life-saving humanitarian assistance to vulnerable Jews.

Thank you to Mila Krol, Bet Shalom congregant, who is generously donating the supplies and in-person instructions.

No experience is necessary. $45 donation includes supplies to make up to a 40x50 throw blanket, instructions by Mila Krol. Blankets can be taken home or you can leave your finished blanket at Bet Shalom to be donated to a local shelter. Find more information and sign up HERE. Donate HERE!
