Our youth programming is about building relationships and making connections through social programming and leadership opportunities. Kids/Teens build lasting friendships and community, meaningful memories and lifetime connections to Tikkun Olam, and Judaism.

Youth Choir | K-7th Grade

Participating in Bet Shalom's Youth Choir is an amazing way for our youth to engage in their Judaism through music. Led by Cantor Havilio, this group rehearses seasonally during Religious School on Sundays. Yearly highlights include High Holiday Family Services, singing with Dan Nichols, Shabbat Chanukah, the Purim Spiel, and Religious School Shabbat. We love our young singers and the light and joy they bring to our community!

9th-12th Grade | Bet Shalom Temple Youth (BeSTY)

BeSTY stands for Bet Shalom Temple Youth but means so much more. BeSTY creates an inclusive, supportive, and fun environment for Jewish youth to connect with one another and find themselves and their belonging here at Bet Shalom. Many younger kids find themselves excited and anticipating their time in BeSTY. Every Wednesday night, teens connect, eat dinner, and build friendships. Once a month, BeSTY organizes, plans, and carries out a fun event outside or inside of Bet Shalom. This includes events such as Dave & Busters, snowtubing, ice skating, apple picking, baking, passover seders, service projects, and so much more!

All Bet Shalom teens grades 9th-12th are welcome and encouraged to participate in BeSTY events, Wednesday nights, and all teen programming at Bet Shalom. If your student is interested in attending a Wednesday meeting but has not filled out the form to participate in BeSTY that week, please reach out to emily.dejewski@betshalom.org so that we have accurate numbers for providing dinner. We hope to see you at BeSTY soon!

Madrichim Program (8th-12th grade)

Madrichim are crucial to Bet Shalom Religious School. They play a supportive role in the classroom to both teachers and students while modeling mensch-like behavior and strengthening our community by connecting with each other and their younger peers.
