The Clyde and Kay Cooperman College Scholarship is designed to support students who demonstrate both financial need and a profound commitment to learning, personal growth and contributing to society. This scholarship honors the memory and legacy of Clyde and Kay Cooperman, who were devoted members of our congregation and passionate supporters of Jewish education. They left a generous bequest to help future generations of Bet Shalom students achieve their academic and personal goals.
The scholarship can provide up to $10,000 towards tuition fees for one year of post-secondary education and can be renewed for subsequent years based on eligibility and availability of funds. The scholarship is open to all Bet Shalom students who are planning to enroll or are currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or vocational program. The scholarship review committee will evaluate applications based on financial need, academic performance, community involvement, and potential for making a positive difference in the world.
