BASICS: What are your names and any nicknames?

Carla and Daniel (Danny) Baumel

YOU: Tell us about you and your family.

We are thrilled to be back in Minnesota after many years in Chicago and then Denver. Almost a decade later, we’re back “home” with our three children and two pups. 

BELONG: What does belonging to a synagogue mean to you?

After moving during the formative years of building our family, joining a synagogue is another way of planting our roots here in Minnesota. Raising our children in a community of faith, studying Judaism, and teaching and living our traditions are a part of our core values as a family. And, these are some of our highest goals that we strive to grow by joining a synagogue.

HERE: Why did you choose Bet Shalom?

Bet Shalom is where Carla chose to convert to Judaism a decade ago. The community then and now is one defined by openness and learning. That history and culture is one that we want our children to know and love.
