Jewish Views of the Afterlife

A journey through our ideas of what lies beyond...
Join Rabbi Norman Cohen as we study together various views Jews hold on what lies in store for us at the end of our lives. While many people think that Judaism does not have much to say about what happens after we die, our Source Texts provide us with a myriad of ideas and speculation.
From the Bible, with its few and cryptic references to the netherworld, to the rabbis who sought the reward for righteousness, to the mystics and moderns looking for continuity between this life and the next, Jews have sought to understand what lies beyond our existence on this temporal plain. We will study texts from the Bible through modern Jewish philosophy
And we will be welcome to share our own ideas during our evening study together.
