The Hidden Connection - Past and Present

The history of beer is as old as human history itself. When it comes to Jews and alcohol, the historic involvement in wine is obvious and for those in the 'know', the involvement in the liquor business is also well documented. Most of us can name several Jewish wineries and the names of Bronfman and Lansky are famous for both legal and 'extra' legal liquor. Beer however is a different story. At first glance, beer seems to be the least 'Jewish' of alcoholic beverages. Tonight we will explore the real story - The hidden history of Jews & Beer.
