Yarok ירוק (Pre-

Pre K families,

This week we worked on number writing! We did all different types of sensory and hands-on activities to help us practice number formation. At the beginning of the week we made number books with rhymes to help us practice and remember how to form our numbers throughout the week.

We tried to see if we could make numbers with our body to help us notice which parts of numbers are straight and which are curved.

We made our own squishy sensory bags to practice forming letters on. We will use these in the classroom this week and beyond!

We practiced forming and writing numbers with Q tips and paint, chalk, playdough and shaving cream!

We ended the week by writing numbers on bingo cards and enjoyed playing Bingo together. You can continue to help your child with number writing by encouraging them to make numbers with legos, write them with sidewalk chalk, paint, exc. Every bit of practice helps! Our number writing books will be sent home on Friday so students can show you what they learned.

This week our social emotional focus was finding fair ways to play. We talked about how if two friends want to play with the same thing, we can take turns, trade, or play together! As we played during the week we gave reminders to try these solutions if we had disagreements while playing with a friend.

Happily,

Veronica and Langley
