Sagol סגול (Preschool)

Happy Monday! This week we are talking about the Earth! We painted our own Earths! I gave them the option to paint with their toes, fingers or a paint brush, and they all chose paint brush! I thought they’d want to paint with their toes but they surprised me.

We listened to the song “Going Green” on YouTube which talks about how to reduce reuse and recycle. Afterwards we had a group discussion on how we can reduce reuse and recycle. We made lists for each and our posted outside of the classroom! We also celebrated Adams birthday and had cupcakes too!

Tuesday we worked on our recycling art project! We glued down newspaper then water color painted over it!

We tried to do a letter trash hunt outside but the wind kept blowing it away! We did lots of dramatic play today as well. Some friends had soccer after lunch and they had so much fun!

Wednesday we did a bunch of messy play! We played with shaving cream and mud (corn starch and water), we also did our trash letter hunt from yesterday inside instead. They had time taking turns hiding the letters. We had music and after lunch we went on a scavenger hunt!

Thursday we made Earth day crayons, they turned out so cool!

We also read the Lorax and made our own truffula trees. We talked about air pollution and keeping the air clean and not cutting down trees. We also got to spend lots of time outside!

Friday was a fun day! We made bird feeders and sorted trash vs recycling. They are really into recycling and are good at finding the recycling sign on things.

Today was Whitney’s last day, we got lots of hugs and cuddles in. Thank you everyone for allowing me to be your child’s teacher this year! I have had so much fun watching them grow, explore, and learn together! They are all amazing kiddos and I don’t doubt that they will do amazing things! Hope you all have an awesome summer. The new teachers Nofar and Becca, have been assisting me and observing this week so the routine and structure will remain the same. The kids really enjoy them and I bet they will do fantastic in their care. Can’t wait to come back and visit!
