Tzahov צהוב (Infants)
Happy July!
With a new month comes a new theme in Tzahov. We are focusing on animals this month; a different group each week.
This week, we highlighted farm animals. The large farm structure has been a super fun addition to the room this week. The kids practiced pulling up and taking turns opening and closing the door. There are many interactive activities on the toy that keep the babes interest. The smaller Little People farm house was also a toy of interest this week. The silo top opens and the babes enjoy putting small animals down the chute. The Little People farm animals are always a favorite to explore. Stuffed animals were scattered throughout the classroom to snuggle. Peppa Pig, a cow and horse, a rooster puppet, and cute cuddly lamb all added to the farm experience this week.
Some of the babies got messy while painting "mud" on paper which was later cut into a pig shape. It was fun for the babes to get messy!
Many books were out this week including Sandra Boynton's Moo, Baa, LaLaLa and Barnyard Dance; two of the teachers' favorites!!
The babes also enjoyed paging through an oversized Little People farm book and a padded Baby's First Library farm book. The babies sit and stare when we make the different animal sounds.
We'd like to welcome Trey and his family to our Tzahov family of friends. We are looking forward to getting to know him better.
Next week, we will shift our focus to zoo animals. We have another fun week planned for the littles!
