Kahol כחול (Younger Toddler)

Shalom Kahol Families,

We hope you all had a wonderful long weekend! We heard a lot from some of our friends about the fireworks they saw! It was definitely a highlight for many of them. If you haven’t already, make sure to take home the firework artwork we made last Friday.

On Tuesday we talked a little about woodland animals and wore special bear hats that teacher Tira made! Some of the kids loved dressing up and others weren’t too fond of the hats. We had a couple friends who wanted to wear theirs all day!

We also went on a scavenger hunt to look for our woodland friends. The kids loved spotting the animals, and we stopped to say hello to all the other classrooms as we passed by.

We also played in the sensory bin with beans, spoons and cups. They had a lot of fun until somebody spilled the beans!

On Wednesday we decorated some cork board trivets by taping out the kids initials and putting them in a plastic bag with paint in it. The kids had a lot of fun squishing the paint around and the finished products look great!

Thursday we did some sensory play with paint, we let the kids get creative with different colored paint and different objects to paint with such as plastic blocks and toy cars! Some preferred to just finger paint. Regardless of the method, they all enjoyed getting really messy!

Next week we’re going to focus on the theme of picnic. We will be doing activities that talk about “leaving only footprints” and protecting the environment.

Fondly,

Teacher Jen and Teacher Tira
