Sagol סגול (Preschool)

Shabbat Shalom Sagol families!

This week we continued with our space theme and dramatic play, especially focused on our “neighbors in the universe”. We talked about the idea of aliens and what that would be like if we really had neighbors in space.

Our students were excited about the space books we made. The pages featured planetary bodies like the sun, moon and stars as well as a rocket ship that our preschoolers glued on. There are an abundance of star stickers added to the space book pages.

With such mild weather we were able to take a couple of walks. We took our homemade telescopes out to explore the universe outside the preschool, looking at the trees, plants and rocks through the lenses. We also found lots of wildlife on our walks, including a turtle fossil and a real baby turtle that we returned to the pond.

We were happy to celebrate Anna and Eve’s fourth birthday with them on Wednesday! They wore their crowns around the classroom and on the playground, and enjoyed ice cream sandwiches with the class.

Finally, this was a bittersweet week for Becca and Nofar as it was our last week with our preschool class. We said goodbye to our class on Friday with gifts and treats from Nofar. Preschoolers received heart shaped necklaces as a going away present. We are going to miss our kiddos so much! We can’t wait to come back and see you all in the fall. Sarah Norstead has a lot of fun things in store for August, and we’re excited to come back and see what our class created while we were away!

Have a great August everyone!
