Sagol סגול (Preschool)

Happy Friday Sagol families!

This week was friendship week in our classroom. We wanted all our students to get to know each other and us, and we did many fun friendship activities. We made a friendship tree with handprints, we played musical chairs together, and we cut up straws to make recycled friendship bracelets.

Our favorite part of the week was making “friendship cupcakes”. Each day, we added different colored pieces of crayon to muffin tins: yellow for kindness, blue for sharing, red for caring, green for playing safe, orange for having fun, and pink for helping friends. At the end of the week, each child got to bring home a friendship cupcake in a special homemade envelope.

This week, we also practiced listening to instructions through game play. We played musical chairs, red light green light, and the in and out game. Our students got to practice their memory skills and had a fun time in the process.

As summer goes on, waterplay continues to be a favorite pastime. Thank you for continuing to label clothing and send appropriate clothing; it makes it go really smoothly for us!

Lastly, we would appreciate if parents could send any extra small plastic water bottles they have to school with their children. We’re going to use them next week to make sensory bottles so any contributions are greatly appreciated!
