Katom כתום (Infants)

Happy Friday Katom families! We had a whale of a time this week diving into our new monthly theme: the Ocean.

Our teachers found ocean creatures for us to play with, and turned our classroom into a coral reef. We love looking at the jellyfish and other animals hanging down above us.

During circle time, we read Under the Waves by Steph Hinton and The Pout-Pout Fish by Deborah Diesen. It was fun to learn about the different kinds of ocean animals we can find in the water, between the coral, and deep in the sand. A tiny turtle named Tiny Tim is visiting our room. We get to pop bubbles as our teachers sang to us! He is such a silly turtle, and we enjoy singing his song:

I have a tiny turtle his name is Tiny Tim

I put him in the bathtub, to see if he could swim

He drank up all the water, he ate up all the soap

And now he has a bubble in the middle of his throat

Bubble, bubble, bubble

Bubble, bubble, bubble,

Bubble, bubble, bubble

Bubble, bubble… POP

As the weather continues to get nicer, we are able to take more walks outside! This week we saw some Canadian geese on the pond, and the beginning of the Feed Me Farms garden right next to Bet Shalom. We are excited to watch the plants and crops grow in the coming months.

We hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Kindly,

Noa and Miah
