Yarok ירוק (Pre-K)

Hello Pre-K families,

This week we learned about movement and energy. To learn about energy, we did some experiments with potential energy and kinetic energy in the big room. We talked about how energy can transfer from ourselves to other things like balls, cars, and even drumsticks! We observed, tested, and explored concepts of motion! We also used motion to create art, for example, we used car wheels to make designs on paper and create a record of movement. We also made art that moves using string and paper. We imagined fantastic things that move like flying submarine snack cars and unicorn finding rocket ships. To end the week we designed and tested boats powered by wind energy! It was fun exploring this concept together.

Our social skill discussion this week centered around how we invite friends to play. We talked about how we ask friends to play, and how we can tell them what we are doing and ideas for what role or job they can join in.

It was great to see you all for conferences this week and talk more about your child's growth and goals! Again, if you have any questions about our conference discussion, please contact Langley and I at langleybradley@gmail.com and veronica.sawyer@betshalom.org . Thank you for supporting a year of growth and community!

Sincerely,

Veronica and Langley
