Katom כתום (Infants)

Shabbat Shalom Katom families!

Throughout the week we learned about boats, and other forms of transportation in water. The infants have mastered the art of deep sea driving, and can officially ride the Katom submarine. We love to move around our classroom and play with the boat propeller. There were sharks, whales, fish, and octopus friends swimming in our "ocean" (classroom mat).

During circle time, we continued to sing songs about the ocean and read new books. Our teachers read Baby Beluga by Raffi, and Who's a Friendly Fish. Playing with bubbles has been super fun as well! It truly makes it feel like the ocean in our room.

The weather has been wonderful; we took the opportunity to go for walks every single day! We enjoyed seeing more animals, the leaves beginning to grow on trees, and spotting the first garden flowers. Daffodils and tulips are beautiful! Thank you for bringing in sunblock, we will be using it even more as the sun comes out.

Snack time is becoming busy as friends begin eating finger foods. With all of the chairs, we are able to sit across from each other and show the delicious foods our parents packed us. It is fun to explore new textures and flavors! Look what I got in my lunch!

We hope you have a great weekend.

Warmly,

Miah and Noa
