Tzahov צהוב (Infants)

Shabbat Shalom Tzahov Families,

This week flew by as we spent a lot of time talking about all the different signs of spring. The babies spent time painting, playing in a pretend duck and frog pond, and listening to the teachers sing about spring.

At the beginning of the week the babies painted a small paper plate, yellow with a brush that was turned into a duck. Their beautiful works of art can be found hanging in the hallway. After they experienced painting with a brush the got messy and painted toilet paper tubes, which was the first step in creating butterflies that were hung in our kitchen for the babes to admire at eating times.

This week has been pretty warm outside. To help cool down the babies splashed in a frog and duck pond. They loved sitting on the floor and banging the ducks and frogs on the surface of the water. Their faces immediately light up.

In addition to the spring decor of  flowers, ducks and butterflies, lady bugs were added to our door as well as lyrics for a few ladybug songs. Lyrics shown below.

Books have helped to enhance the babies exposure to all kinds of bugs we start to see as the weather gets warmer and warmer. Titles include, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar", "Cuddle Bug" and "Baby Bugs".

Next week we plan to explore the weather using our 5 senses.

Have a safe and healthy weekend.

Fondly,

Sarah, Heidi and Holden
