Tzahov צהוב (Infants)

Welcome to our newest Tzahov baby, Max, and his family as well as to our returning families. We all enjoyed our time away planning and rejuvenating, yet we also missed spending time with the babies. It was fun to see new skills emerge after being apart from each other.

This month we are focusing on colors. During the week,  we highlighted all the colors in the rainbow. One new book to our classroom, Eat Your Colors, aided in teaching about the foods we eat. The babes enjoyed all of the play food, especially the strawberries and broccoli.

We sang many new songs including Four Red Cherries, The Color Song, and Oh Rainbow. See the photos for the lyrics. Music time instantly changes the mood in the classroom when the teachers start singing.  The musical instruments are definitely favorite toys!

Art/sensory time was spent exploring colored ice pops. The babies were also given a coffee filter to catch the drips. Curious minds touched, licked, and smeared the pops until the ice melted away.

Next week, we plan to emphasize the cool colors of nature. We hope the weather cooperates so we can spend a lot of time outside.

All our best,

Heidi, Sarah, Holden
