Sagol סגול (Preschool)

Happy Friday Sagol families!

This week we blasted off into a solar system adventure! Students returned from the weekend to find a pop up spaceship, a cardboard rocket ship, a telescope, and lots of space gear to explore.

Of course, we spent time learning about the planets with which we share our solar system. We sang songs about the different planets, and even recreated them on paper plates.

We had a lot of fun with new sensory activities this week. Students played with shaving cream, made even better with black dye and glitter. They also got to do some “ice painting” to decorate a new sign in our classroom. We love how it turned out!

A favorite game this week was “name that shape”. Students reached into a box of felt moons, suns, and other solar system shapes, and guessed what they were touching. Then, they pulled out their object to see if they were correct.

Students did a great job decorating cupcakes for our door. They worked on their fine motor skills by gluing on the little sprinkles, and were excited to see them up on the door when they came in to class.

Thursday was slumber party day in Sagol! All our friends came in pajamas with their favorite stuffy. They got to do a show and tell with their studies, and after lunch they snuggled in to watch projections of the planets and stars.

Finally, we got to celebrate Kellan’s birthday! His friends loved the fruit snacks he brought as a special treat, and were excited about the goody bags they got to bring home. Happy fourth birthday Kellan!

As always, we hope you have a great weekend and we’ll see you all Monday!
