Sagol סגול (Preschool)

Hello Sagol families!

We- Nofar, Becca and Sarah- are so excited to work with your children this summer! There have been a lot of changes and new faces in our classroom so we’re taking this opportunity to introduce ourselves.

Hi, I’m Nofar Shani! I am a mother to two daughters who are six and two and a half. I came over from Israel in July of 2021. In college, I studied psychology and education as well as art therapy and became a family therapist after I graduated. I’m excited to bring some of my knowledge of emotional development into the classroom. I also enjoy art and am looking forward to drawing on my art therapy background to plan some fun art projects for this summer.

Hi, I’m Sarah Norsted! My family have been members of the Bet Shalom congregation for 25 years, and I have three adult children who went to religious school through confirmation at Bet Shalom. Now that we have an empty nest, I’ve been loving working with the little ones at BSY for over five years. Years ago I graduated from Hamline with a psychology degree.

Hi, I’m Becca Schumacher! I started working at BSY last fall as a float, and I’m excited to be in the Sagol classroom this summer. Right now I’m studying for my elementary education degree, and BSY has been a great experience in the meantime. I love spending time outdoors, so I’m excited to do some nature centered projects and lessons in Sagol.

As we go into summer, don’t forget about your child’s summer gear! With a swimsuit, towel and sunscreen they’ll be able to enjoy lots of water games. We’re also asking for updated 4X6 family pictures if it’s possible. The children love having pictures of their grown ups and siblings on our wall!

We are thrilled to be working with this great group of children. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out! We’re looking forward to getting to know you all.
