Adom אדום (Older Toddlers) — Bet Shalom Congregation

This week was eventful, and I hope you all enjoyed the surprise day off!

While we were in class we got to talk about baby animals all week! We started by talking about several that our friends might already know, like kittens, puppies, and even things we learned in previous weeks like tadpoles! We got to play a game with pictures of puppies and kittens and guessing which was which.

As the week continued we read My First Baby Animals, which covers dogs, cats, ducks, pigs, and rabbits! We also talked about animals from Old McDonald like goats, cows, and horses! This helped us a lot when we tried a new version: Baby McDonald Had A Farm, where we have to name the baby name of each farm animal. Some are tough but all our friends are doing their best to tell me what a foal or a piglet or a calf is!!

We also got to color our own pink and brown piglet plates, making a big litter of piglets for our friends to play with. We'll be wrapping up the week with some baby animal coloring sheets, so our friends can color their favorite baby animals to take home!
