Adom אדום (Older Toddlers)

Happy Friday Adom Families!

Thank you all for your help and patience this week as we took photos of all our friends, and testing everyone to be safe and sure!!

This week, we got buzzy learning about bees, flowers, and honey!

We started the week learning about flowers and pollen, we used plastic flowers and mini puffballs to show how it sticks to bugs like bees and butterflies, who eat the pollen for food. They really liked seeing my bee and ladybug puppets grab handfuls of puffs and buzz around! Our friends loved the pretty plastic flowers so much that we got to do sensory bins with them the next day! Many of our friends pretended to buzz as bugs around the flowers in their bin.

On Wednesday we worked hard staying clean for photos and afterward got to try building our own beehives and butterflies out of play-doh. After talking so much about bees and honey, I asked them how they can tell if a bug is a bee, and I got a lot of good answers, but the most common one was... Stripes! So we got to glue our own stripes onto bees made of yellow paper!

We wound down the week with a little coverage of Rosh Hashanah, where we colored apples, pomegranates, and some shofar! We'll start talking about apples, more on honey, and all about the Jewish New Year next week for Rosh Hashanah!

Have a great weekend and Shabbat Shalom!!
